Allied Technology Group Provides the Coast Guard with Cost Effective Solutions
In October 2006, the NorthStar Technology Services Joint Venture (a partnership between Allied Technology Group and GLOTECH, Inc.) assumed maintenance support for three nationwide Coast Guard command and control and safety of navigation programs – the National Distress System (NDS), the Vessel Traffic System (VTS), and the Sector Command Centers (SCC). Each of the programs has a nationwide distribution, and requires rapid response to correct any outage. Since assuming responsibility for the three programs, the NorthStar team has consistently met the availability (Ao) requirements for each program while saving the Coast Guard more than a million dollars per year in support costs.
